1st year on the Juan and Fly Cements re-visited

Ok guys.. I know i am only a newbie on the San Juan, but i have to bring this to ur attention. Guys do not use any cement varnish on their flies????? Why,?????????,, Ok they make them too bulky, wrong, u tie them with a lighter thread.They look amazing try it I have spent 1 whole year on the San Juan and have met quite a lot of folks and managed a fish or two, What i have learned from being on The Juan will stand to me whenever... Are there Disease tranfer prevention measures one can take

I am planning to fish a few other waters in New Mexico and hopefully this summer venture North to Colorado a few times. Mainly I plan to fish the Chama and the Rio Grande and I was wondering if I needed to do anything special to my waders or wading boots to keep from transferring anything unwanted to the waters I might fish. I currently own one pair of chest waders and wading boots that have only been used on the San Juan. I also own a pair of rubber hip waters I use on the Pecos and a few... [Read More]
